William E. (Bill) Franklin has been an innovator and leader in the fields of solid waste management and life cycle analysis for more than 30 years. In the early 1970s, he co-developed the Life Cycle Inventory (LCI) methodology and researched and wrote some of the first reports quantifying solid waste generation and management. He has worked continuously in both fields ever since, managing scores of projects for both governmental and private clients. Mr. Franklin is well known both nationally and internationally. He has made many presentations and published dozens of papers during his distinguished career.

Marjorie A. (Marge) Franklin has nearly 30 years of experience in solid waste management, particularly in the areas of waste characterization and recycling. Ms. Franklin is well known for her pioneering work in waste characterization using a materials balance methodology. While much of her work has been for the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, Ms. Franklin has also worked extensively with many state, local, and private clients. Ms. Franklin has written extensively on solid waste management topics and has made numerous presentations to large and small audiences.
